CO Appointed for District Admin and Home Affairs
Michael Ebanks has been appointed as Chief Officer in the Ministry of District Administration and Home Affairs, effective Monday, 1 September 2025. He previously served as Acting Chief Officer in the Ministry of Home Affairs in the previous administration.
SIAH offices Temporarily Relocated
The Ministry of District Administration & Home Affairs (MDAHA) wishes to inform the public that the Sister Islands Affordable Housing Development Corporation (SIAH) in Cayman Brac has been temporarily relocated to the Creek Community Centre located at 256 Creek Road, Cayman Brac, effective Wednesday, 25 June 2025.

About Us
The Department of District Administration is the operational arm of the Ministry of District Administration & Home Affairs as the main Government office in Cayman Brac and Little Cayman (Sister Islands).
The general nature of the department’s activities is to administer and support the government business in the Sister Islands, ensuring the timely and efficient implementation of governmental policies. District Administration’s customers include the general public (resident and non-resident in the Sister Islands) as well as other governmental departments and agencies. Other operational offices are located across various locations on Cayman Brac and Little Cayman.

Sister Islands Affordable Housing Development Corporation
The cost of real estate has increased exponentially in the last two years. As a result of this, the gap between Caymanians and their ability to purchase affordable land lots and homes has widened.
The Cayman Islands Government is committed to providing opportunities for Caymanians to obtain adequate and affordable housing in the Sister Islands in an effort to close this gap. As such, the Ministry responsible for District Administration along with the Sister Islands Affordable Housing Development (SIAHD) Board, work collaboratively to identify, acquire and develop Crown land into affordable housing developments.
The Sister Islands Affordable Housing Development Corporation facilitates the affordable housing programme to address the issues of property ownership for Caymanians in the Sister Islands.
