State Opening and First Meeting of the 2026-2027 Session
The State Opening and First Meeting of the 2026-2027 Session of Parliament will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, 19 June 2026. Her Excellency the Governor, Mrs Jane Owen, will deliver the Throne Speech, outlining the Government’s legislative priorities and policy agenda for the upcoming 2026-2027 Session. Members of Parliament will debate and vote on proposed legislations and discuss policies impacting everyday life in the Cayman Islands.
Parliamentarians are expected to the following proposed Government Bills:
• Status of Children (Amendment) Bill, 2026
• Local Companies (Control) (Amendment) Bill, 2026
• Financial Assistance (Amendment) Bill, 2026
